    • Derek does a great job extracting the main themes here.  If you are leading a change, embrace your first few followers as equals.  The first few followers reflect an under-estimated form of leadership.  They transform the lone nut into a leader.

For us, next week in Boston, our journey is parallel.  We present as a group of five Sustainability Coaches - leader and our first few followers, willing to step into a new space and take this Sustainability movement public.  A different approach - using coaching as the conduit to hold leaders and teams of people throughout their sustainability journey.

The lessons? Nurture your first few followers, allow them to model the movement, step aside, allow all that has gone into Sustainability Coach manifest and have the courage to be with what shows up.
